Direct Mail
This DM piece was presented in a real leather wallet, with fake money detailing the offer to the end user. The artwork for the “note” was created in Adobe Illustrator using an American dollar as reference, from there it was a matter of rendering existing elements such as the company logo and the prize image (on the reverse) in a similar style.
Promo pack
A clear plastic bag containing three hair care products to be promoted as a gift pack. As the print process was screen printing on plastic there were limits placed on the design of the artwork. The client also needed to see digital mockups along with artwork for sign off.
Training calendar
An event calendar for a hairdressing training establishment.
Trade promotion
To create the team of ‘star’ hairdressers for this promo, a photographer was sent to capture the hairdressers as individuals in an appropriate pose. The individual shots were combined into a ‘line-up’ image. Included in the promotional package (a police file format) were posters and hair colouring technique sheets. Other items created in a ‘crime scene’ theme, including evidence bags containing hair colour swatches, evidence numbers and police tape.
Food packaging
To create additional variants to an existing range, two new brush and ink illustrations were created by a contract illustrator. Our job was to produce a line art rendering of those illustrations for flexo print production according to the printers specifications. The final art was distorted to a curve shape by the printers to follow the shape of the tub.
Consumer and trade communications
This client provided global brand guidelines for all the work that we produced for them. Our requirement was to produce print items suited to the local market for a consistent brand image. This included consumer brochures and point-of-sale items, as well as technical items for salon owners and staff.
Microsoft Office templates
A template set up in Microsoft Powerpoint for a Real Estate brand, enabling agents to build and print their own documents.
Promotional flyer
Artwork for this flyer was created for both print and email dispatch. The email version had interactive fields included in the form part of the document, providing the option of completing details on a computer using Acrobat.
Financial document template
This interim report document for a stock exchange listed company has previously been created as a print document, as well as a template in Microsoft Word for the client to complete and update. This version was supplied in pdf format only, for uploading to the NZ Stock Exchange listing.
Print catalogue
A product catalogue for a technology manufacturer. Layout established by designer, content finalised and client changes made by creative artworker.
Folded A5 counter stand
This counter stand was developed for short run promotions. It is economical because it prints on an A3 sheet and requires no finishing - the creasing is part of the die cutting process and the assembly is done by the end user.
Food packaging
This job involved the creation of a range of product packaging for a health food client. The packaging was to be printed on three different stocks (cardboard boxes, coated paper bags and adhesive labels) so our concern was to keep a consistent look across all materials, taking into account the limitations of all three print processes.
